New Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Images Unearthed From Its Website Code

Written by

It might have been only one month since we first seen some footage of From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, however, there’s still more to be revealed in the months to come. On that note, a couple of images from the game were revealed by a Redditor while analyzing its website HTML code.

The two images, which you can see in the gallery at the bottom of the news, were originally very dark, being used as the background of the official site, however, user Heavybrute thought well to lighten and publish them on Reddit.

The first portrays a mountain setting, which reminds us a bit of the old glory days of Dark Souls. It’s reassuring to see that the “From Software” style is present in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice as well, as fans were worried that it might not stand up to the bar the studios’ previous titles set.

In the second image, we see a large bridge in the classic feudal Japanese style with the entrance in the distance of what seems to be a temple immersed in the fog. A commenter pointed out that this is the bridge you cross before you meet the corrupted monk that was revealed in the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice E3 2018 trailer.

While both images don’t share much information about its world or gameplay, we are always excited to see more assets used in it. Undeniably, both settings look amazing and we can’t wait to see them in the game.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice releases sometime in 2019. For now, there’s no stated release date, but the game will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.

As for its gameplay, it will be strictly single-player without the addition of invades like in Dark Souls and will feature a resurrection mechanic which is an important part of its story as well.
