Following the announcement of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox last week, Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo had more details to share in an interview featured in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima.]
- The subtitle of Monstrum Nox, which basically means night of the monsters, is the main concept of the game.
- The setting of Barduke is a three-dimensional city that has focus on its elevation differences. There will be grasslands, forests, ruins, and more in the outskirts, similar to the conventional series.
- The setting is during an age after Ys Seven, where we’ll see Adol at the oldest we’ve seen him so far in the series. It appears that he’s gained some fame around the world as an adventurer.
