Epic Games’ battle royale game Fortnite recently updated to Version 8.10, and with it came some major changes to matchmaking for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
According to the latest patch notes from Epic Games, the PS4 and Xbox One pools have been combined for crossplay matchmaking. This requires players to opt-in to cross-play and those who don’t are restricted to Creative Mode and Playgrounds.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game was previously matched with the PS4 and Xbox One versions, but this will no longer be the case as Epic Games has combined the Mobile and Switch pools.
