In the midst of Sony and Microsoft’s fight for the higher-end console gamer demographic, the two companies announced today that they are partnering up to work on both cloud gaming and AI solutions.
Part of this partnership will be Sony helping out Microsoft in exploring the use of current Microsoft Azure data centers in order to support both companies’ cloud gaming plans, including “building better development platforms for the content creator community”.
On Sony’s end, they will now be receiving Microsoft’s help on the technological aspects, such as “collaboration in the areas of semiconductors and AI” and “new intelligent image sensor solutions”. They will also be able to incorporate Microsoft’s AI tools into…
