Apple CEO Tim Cook announced during the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote today that the Apple TV will soon support Xbox One and PlayStation 4 controllers.
While the controller support for the Apple TV was announced on stage, it will also be coming to iPhones as part of the iOS 13 update likely to come later this year.
Apple listed both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S controllers as one of the features for the upcoming iOS 13. Xbox One S controllers are specifically listed most likely due to original Xbox One controllers not containing any Bluetooth support.
Before, iOS devices could only pair with specific Bluetooth or MFi controllers. The change should at least help those that want to play Dead Cells after it comes to iOS.
