A pretty uneventful week, all around.
Famitsu has released the latest video game software and hardware sales data from Japan for the week ending July 14, and not much has changed this week. Super Mario Maker 2 was on top of the charts last week (where it’s been since it launched), and that’s where it is this week as well, selling over 54,000 copies.
God Eater 3 recently released in Japan for the Nintendo Switch, and it has debuted strongly (especially for a port), occupying second place with over 20,000 copies sold. Surprisingly though, Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers, the excellent expansion of the popular MMO that debuted in second place last week, has completely fallen out of the top 10.
