The looter shooter hasn’t been as successful as Ubisoft was hoping.
Ubisoft’s come bearing plenty of bad news for itself today. In a recent conference call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot went into detail on the disastrous launch of Ghost Recon Breakpoint and the game’s critical and commercial failure, which also led to them delaying a number of major upcoming games. But that’s not all.
Apparently, The Division 2 also has not performed as well as Ubisoft had been hoping it would. During the conference call, Guillemot admitted that Ubisoft “did not fully deliver” on the game’s potential. Meanwhile, in a press release, the publisher also that revenues have seen a “sharp decline”, which has mostly been driven by Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and, interestingly enough, “to a lesser extent, The Division 2.”
