Death Stranding – Low Roar Didn’t Know What Their Music Was Being Licensed For

The world was first introduced to Death Stranding with its reveal trailer at E3 2016. It was a mysterious, enigmatic trailer for what was Hideo Kojima’s first project after a very public and messy split from Konami. One thing that was mysterious even more so was the band that helped introduce us to the game, as Low Roar didn’t even know what their music was actually being licensed for.

Talking to VG24/7, Lead Singer of Low Roar, Ryan Karazija, revealed that he and the rest of the band actually had no idea what their music was being purchased for. They were contacted by Sony to use their song ‘I’ll Keep Coming’ in vague terms for an unknown project. They were as surprised as everyone else when it came to the original reveal trailer.
