Hideo Kojima Shows Exactly How Death Stranding’s Photo Mode Works

When Death Stranding makes its PC debut, it’ll come with some elements entirely new to the game. Among them is a Photo Mode that will let you pause the action and start snapping shots of memorable moments. Hideo Kojima shared a brief video just over 30 seconds long that looks at how it works and some of the different frames and effects that can be applied.

The Death Stranding Photo Mode clip begins by showing how it can be pulled up in the middle of any scene. You can then adjust the camera angle, its roll, the aperture, autofocus, exposure, contrast, color filter, filter strength, effect strength, and depth of field. Sam’s expression can be changed, as can his eyeline or pose. You could even choose to remove him from the scene entirely. A frame or logo can be applied, and the UI could be hidden.
