There’s an alert to be extra cautious online, as fake Cyberpunk 2077 beta emails are appearing in people’s inboxes. CD Projekt Red, the game’s developer, confirmed this is an issue and told people not to believe its contents. This also means anyone who receives the email should not provide any personal information or click any links in it.
In the alert, CD Projekt Red reminded people to look closely at any emails they might receive. Should someone receive any actual information on a possible Cyberpunk 2077 beta, or news in general, it would come from an address that will end in @cdprojektred.com.
Here’s CD Projekt Red’s full statement from the game’s official Twitter account.
If you recently received an email claiming to be granting you beta access to Cyberpunk 2077, it’s not from us. Unfortunately, there have been more of these being sent out over the past few weeks. When we contact you via email, it’ll always come from @ cdprojektred com address.
