  • GiantFreakinRobot isn’t an accurate source at all. You can dismiss this.

  • Can’t wait for protagonist to get invaded by an overleveled red phantom who dabs on you with swap running spell.

  • That would be fucking awful lmao I can’t think of a single AAA game less suited for a movie than the Souls series

  • Sony’s push for films based around PS properties makes some sense, but it also feels very risky considering how poorly the R&C movie did. Many of Sony’s gaming properties have long periods of inactivity, and while its great that most of their their studios aren’t limited to one franchise, it also means that they don’t have a gaming IP as well known as something like Mario or Pokemon, and mainstream audiences may just not have any attachment to some of these franchises.

  • The only way I could see a Souls game in movie format would be some epic, multi-film arc ala LOTR. It’d need some proper dedication and time to actually be good, some cheap B-movie that’s less than 2 hours long wouldn’t do it a slice of justice.

  • The plot and theme is to much convoluted for a mainstream film imo

    FlannOff April 9, 2021 6:02 am
  • i wonder how a film based on a game known for a implicit story will translate into a movie, i assume the people at sonic pictures think they could make this their game of thrones lmao

  • Every 30 minutes a buff dude enters the room and beats the shit out of you. If you can defeat him, you can take a disc off his body that contains the next 30 minutes.

  • I haven’t played Demon’s Souls, but I’ve played some of the first two Dark Souls games plus Bloodborne

and if Demon’s Souls is anything like those, then I’m not confident in the quality of this movie

    timelordoftheimpala April 9, 2021 6:02 am
  • Wtf, I’ve always said that none of the souls games form of storytelling would work in any form of entertainment outside of video games, that includes movies.

But who knows, could turn out amazing if true, Sony has the money.

    Ratchet2332 April 9, 2021 6:02 am

    defendedmeteor3 April 9, 2021 6:02 am
